Vendors sought for Sorticulture, June 11-13
Art and nature are perfectly paired at Everett’s garden arts festival

EVERETT - The City of Everett is currently accepting applications from artists, nurseries, garden tool and food vendors. Art must consist of work handmade by the artist and/or from the creative re-use of materials and is intended for display in the garden. Nurseries are considered based on the uniqueness of their plant offerings. Garden tools must be made locally and have a distinctive, unusual use. A variety of food vendors will be selected to provide delicious choices for visitors. Applications are available online at www.enjoyeverett.org. Applications are due Friday, March 5, 2010.
Now in its 13th year, Sorticulture is a celebration of creative outdoor living, featuring hand-crafted art for the garden, rare plants from specialty nurseries, display gardens and fun projects for the kids, all in the beautiful arboretum setting of Legion Park in north Everett.
This year’s festival will not only bring a wonderful array art and greenery to Legion Park but include green-thumb tips from Ciscoe Morris and numerous other gardening experts.
After a day of browsing amongst beautiful plants and unique garden art treasures, spend the afternoon relaxing in the wine garden, enjoying live acoustic music from the back porch stage.

Sorticulture hours and location:
• 10 a.m. – 8 p.m. Friday, June 11
• 10 a.m.-6 p.m. Saturday, June 12
• 10 a.m.-5 p.m. Sunday, June 13
• Legion Memorial Park, 145 Alverson Blvd. at West Marine View Drive in Everett, 98201
