he City of Everett has a strong-mayor form of government, which means the mayor runs the day-to-day business of the city.  In Everett, mayors are elected to serve four-year terms. Mayor Ray Stephanson took office on Nov. 19, 2003.

“As Everett’s Mayor, I will listen to our residents and business owners, creating an open and inviting government that values and respects the people we serve,” Stephanson said. “I will manage the city with sound fiscal policies and put public safety at the top of the priority list.”
